I attempted to overclock my non k i5 6600, but after saving the settings and restarting, a black screen appears with instructions to press F2 or alt + L to restore defaults. The issue persists despite using an older BIOS that I can recover from. How can I resolve this?

I checked the system settings and adjusted the graphics options to enable a higher unlocked ratio for a non-K CPU.

i don't understand your question about changing the ratio. you mentioned entering a number and it being in fixed and dynamic mode.

To achieve this, you must have the appropriate motherboard and BIOS. (Refer to overclocking.guide for details) You'll also need to secure your RAM at a low frequency while keeping timings flexible so it can adapt as the base clock rises. Many newcomers struggle here because they didn't prepare properly.

Perhaps his site is down. This is his "other" mini-forum that concerns same topics.
