Hey there, I just got my new water-cooled PC and the first time I started a game it makes this loud buzzing noise. It happens only when a game is running and stops right away when I close it. It sounds like it comes from the RTX 3070ti GPU, but I’m not sure what’s causing it. The GPU is liquid-cooled and connected to an EKWB water block. I thought it might be coil whine, but that doesn’t seem right for a non-standard build. I’ve attached a photo of the GPU for reference. Could anyone help? Also, after checking the back of my computer, it sounds like the buzzing could be from the power supply unit—so it’s probably either the GPU or the PSU. Plus, since my system has crashed twice after playing games for more than 5 to 10 minutes, it’s possible either component is failing.

That matches coil buzz. I've seen it on my Radeon VII and now 2060 Super too. It only became noticeable after placing them in water— the fans masked the sound when they were running.

It's that whine you hear, it gets used to. Or listen to some tunes. It becomes less obvious mainly in a calm space with a quiet computer. I experience the same with the 2070 super.

Coil whine is a minor noise from motors and doesn't typically damage components in a PC.
