Noise coming from the power supply, need assistance!
My power supply is the Seasonic Focus GX 850W. I purchased it in November 2024 along with the entire system. After playing God of War, I immediately noticed a strange noise. I checked all the panels and stopped every fan with my finger, but the sound persisted. I turned off the PC and placed it on my desk, then opened Furmark to raise the GPU power limit so the PSU could handle more load. Previously it was around +6% (after installing the GPU), now it’s +15%. The system ran for about 5 minutes without any noise, which made me wonder if the case being on its side instead of upright was the cause. When I tried to lift it suddenly, the sound resumed, though I wasn’t sure if that was because I moved it or not. This PSU has a hybrid mode, and when I turned it off, the fan kept spinning continuously. The noise stopped once I switched to hybrid mode, but the fan still ran despite load. What could be wrong? Is this PSU likely to fail? It’s only been a year old...

UPDATE: This issue occurs even when the system isn’t under load. I turned off hybrid mode, which reduced noise, but when I lifted the case, the noise returned and the fan still spun, albeit slower.
Sorry!!! The file wasn't accessible, but it's now fixed. I can also recreate the sound by banging on the case (I'm actually hitting the case, not the PSU).
I believe the fan is making contact with something. When fans first start up, they don't stay in the exact position they're in during operation; they 'lift off' or settle into the bearing for easier rotation. It seems there might be an obstruction in the bearing or a component near the blade inside the PSU causing intermittent contact. The most effective approach would be to contact Seasonic—they have a warranty that covers this issue.
This began occurring unexpectedly under heavy load, even when the fan ran continuously in hybrid mode. Because of the high cost of things here, I purchased my PC from a reseller who sources cheaper parts from Europe and brings them to me, sometimes smuggling them in. I told them it was fine, but I have to wait until Friday when he returns from his holiday. Could this repeated sound damage anything? I played Black Ops for nearly two hours without hearing any noise.
It functions until it stops working. Nobody knows when—or if—it will stop.
