Hello. I recently upgraded my Ryzen 2600 in Node 202 to 3.9 with 1.15V, but the Wraith Stealth stopped working due to its loud noise. I replaced it with a Noctua NH-L9A, yet the temperature is much higher than with the old model (50+ idle and around 70 gaming). I think the issue might be related to the cooler's height—it’s too small and likely lets in hot air back. Do you have any suggestions for fixing this with just two 40x40 fans in the case? It seems like this cooler might not be functioning properly, and I might need to repaste and reattach it.

Pay attention. I'm using a modest ixit project with a Ryzen 7 2700 and temperatures are becoming a problem. It's going to be tough to locate a top-notch CPU cooler that fits the case. Particularly because the NH-L9A would have been my first choice for a compact cooler. There could be space in the case for a water cooler such as the NZXT Kraken m22, though it seems you'd need to adjust the case to accommodate it.

Ingtar33 shares his experience with a modest i8 setup running a Ryzen 7 2700. He notes that temperatures are a concern and it’s challenging to locate an effective CPU cooler that fits the case. The NH-L9A wouldn’t have been his top choice for a compact cooler, though there might be space in the case for a water cooler such as the NZXT Kraken m22. He mentions he likely had to opt for ID Cooling IS-60 or Shuriken 2 instead of an AM4 cooler. For Node 202, he considers these options the best available.

The NH-L9A was a top consideration for a compact cooler, but he realized the case might need adjustments to accommodate a water cooler such as the NZXT Kraken m22. He also mentioned that cleaning dust became simpler after removing the dust filter, which helped reduce dust buildup.
