You're weighing options for your Noctua NH-D15 setup. You have two main choices: low-profile RAM at higher speeds (3600MHz C18 or 3200MHz C16) which lets you fit both fans, or standard RAM at 3600MHz C16 but might limit fan usage to one. With a 5800X CPU, the latter could work well if you prioritize single-fan operation.

Choose the more discreet option. The performance gap isn't significant when opting for a marginally slower CAS latency memory.

most ram should work with both fans, occasionally one fan is just slightly off, wouldn't ruin the pc for it. these are my old ram, and the heatspreaders are large. https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-16gb-288-...ption=cl19 4266 gskill&cm_re=cl19_4266 gskill-_-20-232-471-_-Product they fit, other issues aren't a problem, veageance, dominator, ripjaw, flare x, etc.

I understand you're trying to adjust the fan position, but raising it too much might not work with your setup (Crucial Ballistix).

Based on my observations in tests, choosing just one fan results in only minor temperature differences.
