I thought of that too. I'm using a spare monitor with a different hdmi cable than I normally use. Without GPU it doesn't post with the on board graphics (cpu issue?) As far as the CMOS, there is a button on the back plate specific for resetting cmos since its hard to get to. But I'll see if I can remove the battery
