TL;DR The computer starts up properly but shows no image despite a new GPU and fresh cables with two different monitors.

Have you considered using another PCIe slot? Also, have you tried connecting it via the video ports on your motherboard instead of the graphics card? Maybe because your BIOS is configured to use built-in graphics.

Also consider the motherboard and processor. Older systems running BIOS without UEFI support might face issues with modern graphics cards. If it's a brand-new setup, did the CPU include built-in graphics? The system might have automatically used those, so you may need to adjust BIOS settings and choose the PCI-E card as the main display.

I just skipped his post; I only noticed the first one and wondered about the OP's setup, especially if it was an old machine. While I was typing that sentence, an idea popped into my mind about integrated graphics possibly causing issues. Another thought was he might not have fully connected the PCI-e 6pin to 8pin, so I didn’t mention it because I assumed he’d seen something similar on display. Modern graphics cards usually warn with a message like ā€œadditional power required, please insert power connectors.ā€ That’s why I didn’t include it. I’ve written over 15k posts, so I don’t need to copy anyone or take their work.

The motherboard you have is a GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3 AM3+ and it doesn’t have built-in graphics. That means I can’t use integrated cards; I’m limited to the ones I own and install separately. I’ve tested both slots, but initially I played a game on my PC, then turned it off completely and waited a week before checking again. I’ve also reinserted the cards multiple times during swaps to see if anything appears.

I wanted to confirm you were referring to this as a major update. I tested both PCIe slots with the cards in each separately and still didn<|pad|> to see any signal. I can’t reach BIOS settings since neither monitor worked or the cables I tried didn’t help.
