I need to enhance my SSD because I really need more space and faster performance, but I’m not sure if the new drive I want will work with my motherboard. I’m just starting out, so I’m unsure about how these SSDs function. Please let me know if anyone can assist me. My current setup is an HP Moria board with a Toshiba KBG30ZMV256G PCIe NVMe 256GB drive. The new one is a Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 2280-1TB SSD.

It functions properly. Both are M.2 NVMe SSDs.

I noticed the connector on the SSD appears different from what I expected.
