I mistakenly altered the CMOS battery while the PC was active. I understand it’s not recommended, but can you try restoring it to its original state or check if there’s a way to boot normally? It seems like the system might be damaged beyond repair. The model is an Asus P5QL Pro ATX.

It seems the system isn't starting properly. Could you clarify what action you took? Let's reset it and see if it boots correctly now.

We must identify the exact issue clearly. Detailed information isn't feasible here.

It's not functioning as expected. I performed a clean CMOS reset.

Powered on, yet only displays a black screen. Initially assumed it would work (clearly it won’t). Attempted again already.

It's possible the BIOS became damaged, as it depends on the CMOS battery to keep timing stable. Modern PCs usually have protections against this. If needed, you can attempt a repair using Asus's CrashFree BIOS 3. If that doesn't work, consider using a physical BIOS flasher at https://tomvanveen.eu/flashing-bios-chip-arduino/
