I was offline for roughly two hours and my computer stopped working. Now it won’t power on at all—power reaches the motherboard but pressing the power buttons doesn’t work (both case and board). I’ve tried resetting everything, and it only turns on when the CPU socket is raised. When I checked with a flashlight, I noticed something odd near the VRM. Is my motherboard damaged? Where can I get a replacement for this model? It seems to be out of stock at the stores I bought it from. I have an MSI Meg X570 Ace.

looks like aio leak. do you have better pic of pci port from more of a top view. also are you in a humid climate?

The AIO didn't leak, and all my PCIe ports are in good condition. It's quite humid in Singapore.

It's tough to confirm if it's just dirty. Have you attempted clearing the CMOS and possibly changing the CMOS battery? Also, consider removing all SATA drives and testing with a different power supply.

You might observe this if the device behaves unusually after being turned on. (Have you attempted to reinsert the CPU following?) Edited November 17, 2025 by leclod

The color shift seems quite similar to a fried part. If you approach the VRM area, do you notice any unusual odor? (Avoid taking a deep breath just in case, it could be hazardous, but look for anything off-smelling.)
