I own an ASUS Z370-A motherboard. I previously planned to upgrade my 512GB M.2 drive to a bigger one, but I didn’t have the accompanying screw. I found a replacement on Amazon that seemed suitable. Many users reported similar issues—the screw wouldn’t come out. I tried forcing it, and eventually the 2280 standoff broke off. A picture is available here: https://imgur.com/a/ffz3FOw Can I simply use superglue to reattach it? It appears most cyanoacrylate adhesives aren’t conductive, which could help. However, this still leaves me without a functional screw. What’s an effective way to temporarily secure a M.2 SSD for a day?

I think I should have been more precise. My goal is to attach the standoff to the motherboard. I’m not sure I’ll ever find the correct screw, so how can I briefly secure the M.2 drive to the (hopefully) permanent standoff? Would tape be too sticky when things get warm? A zip tie or string might work?
