From the images, the top position is no longer available. Can I use the middle slot for my GTX1080? Will it affect game performance? My PC mainly runs games, not heavy tasks. The MSI Z97 Gaming 5 Card with Gigabyte GTX1080 includes four monitors, one at 75Hz for gaming.

I remove the locks from PCIe connectors for a mix of reasons—dislike and reluctance.

I really don’t understand how I managed to break it. I removed the card while it was probably out more than ten times before. It seems like I might have assumed the clip was fully open when it wasn’t. I didn’t pull hard enough, just a light tug and it snapped.
