I reinstalled Windows 10 Pro and debated with an Indian representative for roughly twenty minutes since my product key wasn’t functioning and he refused to assist. He kept urging me to purchase a new key, but I eventually got the correct one without his help. While installing, I realized my NVMe SSD hadn’t been wiped properly—it still held over 100GB of data. When I mentioned I definitely didn’t select my C drive during the wipe, that was accurate. It’s strange how Windows loads the boot loader on a different drive than you specify. Before reading this thread, I wasn’t sure, but now it makes perfect sense. Now I’m back up and ready to install programs, apps, Windig, drivers, and tweak settings, finally restoring my PC to how I want it. All because Windows decided to place the boot loader on a random drive. UUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH I have decades of irreplaceable photos, videos, music, and family memories—things I could never replace. Thank God I had the foresight years ago to separate Windows from my important files. If I had just one hard drive, I’d have been in trouble. Thanks everyone for the advice!

Thread polished. Welcome to a welcoming space for everyone here—visitors and members alike. Feel free to share your thoughts openly and respectfully. Let’s keep the conversation mature, thoughtful, and full of valuable ideas. "Don't be a dick" – Wil Wheaton. "Be excellent to each other" – Bill and Ted. Remember who we’re talking to, now and in the future.
