The installation prompt lets you choose between starting fresh or restoring from an older setup. To avoid syncing files during a reinstall, set it up as a new PC unless you specifically need to preserve existing data.

The method you're using can be cleared by restoring from a USB drive that's been wiped. This will remove all data permanently.

Create a Windows installation USB, start booting from it, then select your C drive during setup. Remove any existing partitions if needed. How does activation work for you?

I misunderstood the question, but that’s the correct approach. If you aim for maximum impact, you can clear the drive and then reinstall it, though this is quite drastic for most situations.
