Hello! I'm planning to upgrade my Ryzen 7 3700X to the 5800X on my Asus X570 ROG Crosshair VIII Hero Wi-Fi board. I've already enabled TPM 2.0 on the 3700X but turned it off now to make the change smoother. I also disabled BitLocker on the C: drive just in case. I'm not sure if it's necessary to turn off Secure Boot as well before the upgrade, since I've checked some older discussions but didn<|pad|> to find a definite answer. Let me know if you can help!

Ensure your backup is ready if enabled. Disconnect the existing CPU, install the new one. The system will prompt to erase the TPM—confirm. Enter the updated BitLocker key when prompted. Task complete.
