The game is available on Steam servers, so your choices should be saved there. You don’t necessarily need to install it locally if you want them to carry over.

This game doesn't allow Steam Cloud access, which means it likely requires the first season files to be installed.

Sure! To use Steam Cloud, log in with your Steam account and ensure you're connected to the internet. Once logged in, go to the Steam menu, select "Cloud," and manage your files or sync your library. You can also download games from the cloud if available. Let me know if you need more details!

Do you possess the initial game's save files in their standard folder on your machine (without the game running)? If yes, I assume it should work. Otherwise, the subsequent game is likely to miss them if you haven't saved them yet.

By default, games that support Steam Cloud will store your game progress online. You need to turn it off manually if you don’t want this to happen. No special action is required—it just functions as intended. To control your saves yourself, you must disable the feature.

Steam Cloud setup involves these steps: first install the game, then play it, and finally save your progress. It works automatically by uploading your saved files.
