I was setting up Windows 10 on a brand new PC build and accidentally shook the power cord, causing the machine to shut down during installation. Now it displays an error saying the operating system isn't found, and I've tried unplugging the USB, checking it, but nothing works. Should I consider purchasing another installation or is there a way to fix this issue?

Re-upload the installer from the Windows 10 site and you should be all set, provided you possess the necessary key.

Avoid purchasing a new Windows key. Usually, you can restart from the USB and reinstall everything, bypassing the need to plug in the cord.

I purchased the USB from Microsoft, which came with a label, so all I needed to do was connect it and it should function properly.

When purchasing Windows, you are charged for the license rather than the files directly. You can obtain the Windows 10 installer files and set up a separate USB boot drive. Access Microsoft's media creation tool at: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software.../windows10
