At the office I regularly connect to Wi-Fi and today a new boss changed the settings, banning all Wi-Fi connections. I tried using my phone for calls with family and MAPS, but I can't access the router. Can I retrieve the Wi-Fi password through the LAN connection?

If it isn’t work-related, I fully understand why your supervisor wouldn’t want you disrupting the team or hindering business relationships. Allowing personal devices to connect could pose a security threat, especially if the network isn’t properly separated from the main system.

Technically it's the company's internet, which means they control the rules. If you want internet access, check your phone plan and adjust accordingly. Just sharing this, I don't have WiFi or cellular data at work—they block most signals in the building. So I follow my own approach: DEAL WITH IT. I play Bubble and Candy Crush Saga during lunch since they don't need an internet connection. During work hours I actually focus on tasks because that's what the company pays me for.
