I run CS:GO on the simplest settings using a Pentium chip and Intel HD graphics, achieving over 40 FPS on average. It's not perfect, but it works fine for light gaming.

Staying on lower configurations should let you play, though you’ll notice occasional frame drops. Back then I could run CS:GO on an IGPU with solid performance, but recent updates have steadily reduced the frame rates.

Before using an Intel Core 2 Duo, playing Counter Strike ran smoothly. I believe a GPU isn’t necessary since the game isn’t too demanding. With Intel Core i3, i5, or i7 processors, graphics are shared automatically from your RAM. I think you can play CS:GO without any problems without a dedicated graphics card.

If you're really diving into CSGO, sure. My 60hz 900p screen is limiting my GT610, can't wait for the upgrade.
