Hello, I'm planning to get a new computer soon and have an old laptop with an active Windows 10 Professional license. I was wondering if it's possible to transfer the license from my current laptop to my new one. The laptop originally used Windows 8, then upgraded to Windows 8.1, followed by Windows 10 Home. After that, I purchased a Windows 10 Professional license online and upgraded the laptop to Windows 10 Professional. Could I move the license to the new computer? Would that help me save some money?

You can relocate the license by dragging it over it; it will prompt for the license details and then register your new device. The original laptop license is OEM, which means the Home version cannot be moved.
