Anthony mentioned the BIOS should support at least version 1.0.0.4 for your Ryzen CPU. Your setup uses the M.SI X470 gaming plus Max with BIOS version E7B79AMS.H40. That looks fine as long as it meets the minimum requirements.

This BIOS update isn't available on the website and should be the version sent from the factory. If you haven't refreshed it, do so. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/...AMING-PLUS Ensure your chipset driver is current before installing the new BIOS.

It comes with some uncertainty. However, you don’t need to refresh the latest BIOS if your system uses an older CPU. Which one are you running?

I'm using a Ryzen 5 3600 and Anthony mentioned in his 'FREE performance for Ryzen! - 1usmus ClockTuner for Ryzen' video that version 1.0.0.4 combo pi was required to operate the clocktuner tool.
