uhhhh, no. Nothing to do with this. That would make them absolute BANK so if it was a thing they could do, they'd absolutely do it. Laptop CPUs will run hotter than desktop CPUs due to the nature of laptops and have no space for good coolers. The 3D V-Cache doesn't like extra power or heat. So I suspect there'd be an unreasonable level of RMA issues happening if they tried that, and that's bad for business.

The additional room required for the cache is consuming significant area on the chip, which could explain the absence of mobile X3D processors. Also, maintaining temperature would be challenging since heat must pass through the cache layer before reaching the processor effectively.
I never intended anything different. Usually I emphasize "heat is heat" and "watts are watts." What I meant was that reducing clock speeds has a smaller effect on performance from a technical standpoint. If it needs to cut to 30W by lowering clocks to 2.5GHz, it won't be as noticeable for frame rates. My main idea is you can run the CPU at lower power without suffering the same performance drop.
