Using the UPS gives you an advantage. Backing the Ryzen 5000 lets you install it later, but it doesn't require you to own a 5000 right now. It just means you can upgrade later.

I recently replaced the thermal paste about two months ago. I had cooler MasterMastergel on hand, which is the type I used.
