No visual adapters listed in Device Manager; AMD GPU installation encounters error 182
Hey there! I'm facing a puzzling problem with my 6800 XT. It seems completely unrecognized by Device Manager, even though it's sending a video signal from the GPU. When I opened GPU-Z, everything looked normal. The issue got worse when I tried installing both old and new drivers—then I hit error 182. From what I understand, this means the installer thinks I have AMD graphics but isn't able to pinpoint the exact model.
This happened after switching to a newer driver and downgrading from the latest one. I'm still using the latest BIOS (which I updated after the problem started), and my specs match what's listed in my profile. Anyone else experience this? I also noticed that when I used DDU in safe mode, things worked better, but driver timeouts and BSODs appeared afterward. Could you help me figure this out?
