Hey there.
I have an old HP case from about ten years ago. I passed it on to my youngest recently. He said the video was fine. Here’s what I did:
- Tested the monitor on a known good system; it worked properly.
- Added a new x16 PCIe video card, but it didn’t install. I put it in the KG system and it functioned.
He mentioned yesterday (about a week later) that it kept showing BSOD errors. I wish I’d noticed that sooner.
- Inspected a KG SATA HDD; it didn’t boot to safe mode or BIOS.
I was thinking about reseating the RAM right now, so I’ll try that. But I’m leaning toward it being a motherboard problem.
I’ll remove this post if the RAM resolves the issue.
Any advice?
