I've been working on switching to DDR5 for a while now. My setup includes a Ryzen 7800x3d, Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX rev 1.2, Corsair Vengeance 2x16 DDR5 6000M/T (CMH32GX5M2E6000C36), Cooler Master MWE 850 v2 Gold PSU, and I currently have no BIOS updates. I only have a DRAM light on the board. I've reset the CMOS battery, updated the BIOS, tried running it with one stick in each slot for ten minutes, but nothing worked. I also attempted an upgrade with my i5-13500 earlier this year and faced similar problems. Anyone has any tips or solutions?
All your choices have been made again. You're considering repositioning the CPU, switching RAM, or changing the board itself. Some might mention "memory training," but ten minutes seems unreasonable. Did you use the same RAM setup when you tried it with your i5 last year?
If it were memory training, I’d think about blinking, and maybe it could be written in Maunal too—though that’s uncertain. Regardless, if all attempts fail, as @GuiltySpark_ mentioned, you’ll need a different RAM setup.
This claim is mostly accurate for a few ASRock boards, but I'm certain it doesn't apply to most. It seems like the board might be faulty or a memory kit issue.
I employed two separate sets of tools for the Intel CPU, and each would switch between CPU and DRAM indicators prior to powering down and restarting.
A typical solution is adjusting the cooler too much. Remove it slightly and reattach, ensuring the screws move freely, then try posting again. It seems AM5 can experience problems where a cooler or retention bracket being too snug affects memory channels.
That's why I checked the motherboard manual—it's really helpful for front panel connectors as well.
