No updates have addressed the B550 Aorus Pro USB problems.
I've been checking out the Aorus pro b550, but many users reported serious problems with the rear USB port. An article suggested a Windows update might have fixed the issue. Anyone else have details on this?
It was reported that problems mainly appeared when using XMP settings with memory. Some ports depend on the CPU, others on the chipset, so XMP mainly affects the CPU-bound ones. The most effective solution is to avoid purchasing this motherboard and choose an alternative.
I understand, I intended to purchase another motherboard, possibly the Strix F Gaming. If anyone can verify a fix, the Aorus Pro would have been helpful. Appreciate your reply!
I'm in the same situation. I mostly went for the B550 Aorus Pro, but I came across some USB problems that caused trouble. Now I'm thinking about the B550-F too. Even there, the LAN driver had issues, though it looks like a fix is available with the latest firmware.
Gigabyte states the newest BIOS for this board (F11) resolves the issue. Download link: https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/B...ro_f11.zip
Release notes highlight performance upgrades for AMD AGESA ComboV2 1.1.0.0, optimized support for AMD Smart Access Memory, better USB 2.0 port stability, and overall system reliability. The author plans to install it immediately to test improvements and is eager to see the results.
It remains in F11, but now they claim a fix is available. They suggest switching to F12 and removing the F11 option from the interface. However, the issue persists, which is frustrating while playing shooting games. I plan to disable the C-State manually. I checked the BIOS settings and confirmed it’s still active. It looks like turning it off in the BIOS doesn’t make a difference. When I double-check, the C-State stays enabled. It seems disabling it by hand might not work since it wasn’t saved. The USB random restart is still problematic—sometimes you can’t use your mouse or keyboard with any other connected USB device, which is really bad for streaming. If there’s no solution, I’m regretting upgrading to the R75800x with B550M Aorus PRO.
I'm experiencing persistent issues with my B550 Master running F12 BIOS, occurring repeatedly every hour. It's particularly disruptive during remote work and calls. Although a 13A model was announced, it doesn't address the USB concerns. I'm close to concluding the board is defective and advise everyone to avoid using it. Updated to 13A, drivers refreshed, and C-thingy disabled in BIOS, but still facing many problems.
