We aim to install DSL at your grandfather's residence. While searching for suitable phone sockets, we encountered an unusual socket in the image below. Could this component be compatible with DSL? Or might it not function properly or could cause issues? Please confirm before you invest. Also, note that the socket is named BTicino BTI-2021.

It seems to be a typical connector in Italy. I think it works well for DSL. My main concern would be the condition of the cables inside walls and between the house and the connection point.

Ensure there are at least four connectors for DSL compatibility. Collaborate with the service provider during installation and seek adapters that match the required RJ-11 phone jack.

Only two are required for ADSL, and you need just one pair.

It seems like you're suggesting that one pair should remain for a landline phone.

Thanks a lot! It looks like he already has the adapter and is using it. I’m checking if DSL works with it. Appreciate your advice!

I'm from Egypt, so this was probably my first experience. When I spoke to the ISP, they mentioned this landline supports up to 50 Mbps, which suggests the cables should be adequate.

It's new to me here in the US too. When you search for this type of connector, Italy is the only one that comes up.
