Hello everyone, I own a PC with these specs: ASUS M2N68-AM SE2, 4 GB RAM, an Athlon II X2 215 processor, and a 480 GB hard drive. I’m considering using it for either pfSense or a Sophos XG firewall. Thanks in advance! Best regards.

It depends, that CPU is very old (13 years) and only 2 threads. If you have basic DSL or cable internet <50mbit, you could try it.. there is no cost to you other then time to try it out. I would expect under load that CPU will be a bottleneck, especially if you have fast internet and a lot of devices.
