That’s a completely legitimate OEM copy of Windows 10.

now you're wondering why people are criticizing and pointing out other users in the feedback.

The five-dollar keys aren't valid. If you're okay with violating the terms, please refrain from using Windows.

It looks overly inexpensive compared to typical prices—around $100 for approved sellers. To confirm authenticity, consider purchasing directly from Microsoft.

The images seem to show a retail Windows 10 box, but it's actually from eBay—whatever you get might differ. Many of those extremely low-priced keys sold on eBay and similar platforms are bulk license keys not intended for individual purchase. It feels like a "grey market" situation.

It varies; technically Microsoft can’t have no reusable keys, so if these were legit purchases from them, selling them is fine too. It’s a tricky situation, but it’s a gray zone, which is why they don’t intervene—likely because doing so would break EU laws. Reselling software keys is permitted there.

You could try that^ And if needed, we can't guide you to those platforms since that falls into the gray zone I mentioned about legitimacy. Or, just accept it—purchase a retail version so you’re not stuck years later without having to consider it again. I bought my Windows 7 copy completely and it even auto-activated my Windows 11 installation last week when I logged in through my Microsoft account. You should weigh what works best for you.
