First kit (2X8GB) purchased in 2021, second kit (2X8GB) bought recently. They mentioned separate RAM kits despite being the same product, which might cause problems. I used Thaiphoon Burner and checked all four dimms—appear to be identical. Could be a misunderstanding or variation. The field showing the IC is likely Samsung. This probably explains why everything is functioning well so far. How could this happen with items bought two years apart?

The Die Density/Count section applies to the particular revision of the die, listing Samsung C dies as the standard under DRAM components for the IC suppliers. Around eight distinct ICs may fit in that speed range, with C dies being the predominant type. It's not unusual for variations to occur, but it's more typical for differences to appear.

They appear exactly the same... Even if they weren’t, matching timing is what matters. I own a Frankenstein 2x16 Corsair Vengeance 3600CL18 build using sticks from various sets, including a 1 Micron 1 Hynix die. It’s been running smoothly at full XMP speeds for two years, but when trying to optimize or tighten timing, stability drops.
