I noticed someone operating 3 47" TVs in a surround setup for flight simulation. That's really impressive. I wish I had enough room to set up three monitors.

Another virtual pilot here. FSX and PMDG 737 come up often when I can. It’s great to occasionally connect with friends during events in a community I’m part of—one member is an actual 777 pilot, which is nice to get advice from someone who’s flown those planes. It’s enjoyable to fly alongside real people instead of just AI sometimes. I also wish I had enough room to run three monitors for simulating and the budget to cover them. Right now I use a dual-monitor setup, but only FSX with a Speedlink Black Widow Flight Stick.

Great! I understand there are aviation gatherings in your country too, though you've been too busy to join them. They also offer full-motion simulators for both the 737 and A320. You'll need to sell your home to secure a captain's seat. How's the 737 performing? I purchased a 777 from PMDG, but I'm uncertain whether investing in the 737 makes sense. I don't have a yoke or throttle; I operate using keyboard and mouse, and I have two screens for easy access to approach and departure charts.

I aim for a realistic experience, using the same checklists pilots rely on. That’s why an aircraft add-on can be so expensive.

It's a high-quality addon, quite realistic in its details. It seems PMDG excels at creating believable content. If you can afford it, I’d recommend purchasing it—it’s an excellent aircraft to fly. Right now, I only fly with smaller planes on FSX unless I’m involved in events, then we usually stick to the smaller models. How about the 777? I’m considering getting one someday. I admire those who can operate FSX using just a keyboard and mouse. Last time I attempted it, my mouse sensitivity was too high, causing the plane to stall shortly after takeoff. I’d suggest using a flight stick with throttle control for extra precision. I initially intended to use my second monitor for charts, but I ended up printing them out after a crash on that setup. I tried to open the approach information beforehand, but missed the chance.

The 777's really realistic and automated. Actually, very highly automated due to the Fly By Wire system which is actually modelled really well by the folks at PMDG. I would say that it actually deserves the 90 bucks I gave them. I wish there was a 777-200ER with the Rolls Royce engine tho. That would be amazing. No need to respect me for that. I actually have to pause the sim to press buttons with my mouse before resuming the approach LOL Plus, I leave the autopilot on till minimums or 1000ft before handflying the plane. That one's for @ Slick because I know how much he loves LOTR and Hobbit LOL

I stay connected until I install the new machine there’s limited work possible on an older system. Once I have my fresh computer in two weeks I’ll dive into DCS, Star Citizen—though those aren’t airplanes, just space ships—and War Thunder.
