I believed there was a resemblance instead of a significant gap of a year or more. Still I hope DICE can revive with a solid title. I didn’t play through the Battlefield series, but I’m optimistic about this new project.
Previously, Treyarch mostly mimicked Infinity Ward’s work and aimed to enhance it... ironically, the opposite is happening now.
Sure, I picked up the CoD series a bit after Black Ops but lost interest after MW3 and BO2.
Hmm, that seems a bit down. I enjoyed MW3 and BO2. I did see a part of the Ghost campaign and it looked promising. I borrowed Black Ops 3 for a couple of nights and had a lot of fun with it. The movement mechanics, like walking on walls and jumping around? That actually makes BO3 quite enjoyable.
I noticed those were the titles that caused you to lose interest. Ghosts Campaign isn't great at all. The finale really frustrated everyone. It's not like players actually engage deeply; it's just a bunch of random movement that gets tiresome over time. Winning usually comes down to constantly jumping around.
I didn't mind MW3 and BO2 at all. It was mostly after those titles that I lost interest. Back then I was playing on the 360, and I stayed there for about three years after that. Even though Ghosts was available on the 360, it didn’t feel the same. I guess I was also happy with GTA V since it launched around the same time. I’m planning to collect a lot of older CoD games plus some newer ones—Black Ops 2, possibly Ghosts or Advanced Warfare and Black Ops 3. I understand why the movement in the game can be frustrating. I enjoyed it.
It seems intriguing but still uncertain. A comparable case exists in Advanced Warfare.
Seems intriguing, right? I was really excited about the game. Back then, I preferred IW over Treyarch more, and I couldn't resist—even the trailer features an Eminem track, which is classic IW vibes....I got the game...the campaign was decent at best, and the ending made me wish I could go back. Multiplayer...wow, where do I start? At launch it likely had one of THE worst spawn systems ever, the net code was terrible, and the TTK (time-to-kill) was so quick that Ghosts felt like a "twitch shooter." After patches, things improved a bit, but the annoying 5 killstreak mechanic, the overly OP Vector, MTAR-X, and a few other issues really hurt the experience for me and many others.
