I haven’t used the hardware loop much lately, but I was curious about some good micro ATX X570 boards. I didn’t find many solid options, especially for a 3rd generation Ryzen CPU. The B450 micro ATX boards aren’t really compatible with them, which is why I’m still considering it. If you have any ideas or recommendations, I’d really appreciate it!
Recent trends suggest ASUS might release a few solid models, perhaps a Strix and a Prime. Gigabyte is likely to launch something controversial—adding RGB and an Aorus branding—and price it around $120. If OEMs had pushed harder, you’d probably see these items sooner.
If you wait for the B550 release, more choices should appear. Still decent options exist. Asus usually produces mediocre products when you pay less, but the X570 lineup looks promising, though it's unclear if a full MATX range is available. Gigabyte mainly offers low-end models at the lower end, so they're unlikely to surprise with new entries. MSI invests more in MATX builds, but their performance dropped significantly on the X570 compared to the B450, making them inconsistent. Asrock is likely to release a B550 Pro4 and possibly a Steel Legend in the MATX version, but it will probably remain similar to the X570 due to their tendency to reuse designs.
