You'd prefer to keep that setup and look for a different motherboard instead of swapping out the SSD entirely.

ECC assistance applies to RAM compatibility, not SSDs. Feel free to choose any NVMe or SATA SSD you prefer.

The X470 Gaming Plus Max has worked well for me, and I suggest it. The ECC support on SSDs is handled directly on the drive, making it unnecessary for you.
