I’m expecting a 3700X and plan to use the stock Wraith cooler for some time. The performance seems fine to me, and I’m not pushing it too hard. Does the fan adjust its speed depending on load? I’m okay with a steady hum but dislike sudden spikes in RPMs. While AIOs are better in this regard, I’m hesitant to spend over £110 on one now. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the stock cooler’s experience.

I have this unit on my 3700X, though it isn’t completely quiet—it’s not overly loud either. There’s no bothersome high-pitched noise, and you can tweak the RPM settings through the BIOS.

It's quieter than any of my other case fans. Considering I own a Thermaltake Suppressor F31, the noise level is reduced a bit. Since it's free, the performance is quite good. Edit: Check out this video and the feedback below.

My wraith prism remains quiet. It's quite distant from the Wraith Spire.

Same situation again. Very low noise level. The cooler performs well with 105W chips. Upgrading the Prism isn't necessary unless you're specifically aiming to reduce temperatures. Its design closely matches Phenom and Opteron 140W CPUs. There are whispers about the Wraith Prism getting more robust in its build. Adding a few extra heat pipes could help move it from 4 to 6 units. This might shift the cooler’s optimal power range to around 150 to 160W (based on thermal displacement or BTU/hr). Check it out.
