Hello everyone, the temperature rise problem you're experiencing with Zen 2 CPUs is quite common. It seems the CPU temperature jumps unexpectedly from 45 to 55 degrees. I was thinking about upgrading to a 5600X to resolve this, but I'm curious—does there exist a solution for this issue on Zen 2?

It was never a concern from the start. What bothersome was its uniqueness compared to what was usual before. The problem lay in how the chips were built and programmed—not in any issues or bugs.

I hide all other applications, just Hwinfo remains open for checking temperatures on the desktop. Then I experience a sudden 10-degree increase unexpectedly.

Adjusting the offset voltage should resolve the issue, preventing spikes during idle.

not really no. its 100% normal. The way the chips are designed are to allow PBO to operate properly and make sure it has that sudden voltage it needs to do its job when put under load. WIthout this voltage, you risk freezing and BSOD from not enough voltage.

PBO is indeed turned off. I have my own voltage and frequency settings and prefer no extra boosting. I believed PBO was causing the spikes because it attempted extra boost, so I disabled it but it didn’t resolve the issue. They said turning off the P state and C state fixed the spikes—does that sound right? Since my fans get very loud briefly when CPU temperature rises, I just don’t want those sudden spikes either.
