I don't know a direct method for achieving pinch-to-zoom in Gwenview on Kubuntu 22. The experience you described seems unusual, as most photo viewers rely on mouse gestures or keyboard shortcuts rather than touch-based zooming. It might be due to the app's interface or a limitation in the viewer itself. You could explore other photo apps like Lightshot or Snapseed, which support pinch-to-zoom, or check if a custom widget or plugin exists for Gwenview. If you're open to alternatives, simpler viewers with built-in zoom controls would likely be more intuitive.

KDE and its applications are only beginning to receive touch support, which means you likely won’t be able to customize it much. This issue isn’t unique to KDE—it applies to many Linux programs as well. If you’re looking for a more intuitive touch experience, GNOME and its applications might be the better choice. https://help.gnome.org/users/gnome-help/...es.html.en Additionally, I’d explore GNOME Photos to determine if it aligns with your requirements, though it may feel somewhat mismatched.

I usually like KDE. Isn't Ubuntu using Gnome now? I tend to skip it because its apps dock feel awkward and clumsy. That setting could probably become a standard "Start" menu like on Manjaro Gnome, though I'm not entirely sure about Ubuntu's options...
