No, the Crew does not issue anyone.
You might have already discovered this after checking some online results. A user named johnnydotexe seems to have a possible solution, though I haven’t tested it myself yet. You’ll need to try it out yourself and see if it works. I plan to test it with a friend soon and share the outcome. For 1, we haven't attempted the portforward method because he doesn't want to take that chance. He accidentally shut down his network two days ago when he tried something. It seems we might not be able to play together.
I don’t really recall facing those issues, but there’s a spot where the game would stop working instantly if you tried to get too close.
Check if the location is in the south. Make sure your game files are correct; I faced a similar issue once. Quick navigation should resolve it after confirming the files. Regarding the camera in first-person, the problem occurs when switching to cockpit view—camera moves unpredictably for short periods, making it uncomfortable. Many people have encountered this, and some found a workaround by using third-person mode instead. The animation setting seems to be the culprit; turning it off improves the experience.
If anyone wants to know, I managed to get through port forwarding and the rest of the tasks. However, my friend couldn't reach his router because he didn't remember the password, so I was the only one who handled the port forwarding (presumably just the team leader needed that?). Both of us allowed access to Thecrew.exe and uplay.exe in our firewalls. Although I sent him the request for a crew membership and it worked, now we're going together. Seriously though, this is really bad—Ubisoft should have fixed it sooner. But for those who want to play with friends now, this looks like a workaround.
