I currently only have one 8pin to 2*6+2pin daisy chain cable near the "4+4 CPU" slot for my 6700XT GPU. It provides one 8pin and one 6pin power connection. I understand I shouldn't use the daisy chain cable for both slots, and I'm not very familiar with power supplies or cables. My concern is whether I can purchase a compatible 8pin cable for either 6 or 8 pin to fully supply my GPU while still connecting to my PSU through another "6+2 PCI-E" slot. Please let me know.

The mixed terms refer to specific connector types. 6+2 connectors apply to GPUs and also serve as PCIe power connections. 4+4 connectors power the motherboard, while the larger 24-pin connector is typical for standard PC motherboards. What are you aiming to connect to your existing PSU?

Don't rely on the daisy chain cable.
The PSU makers add it to mislead you.
Opt for the daisy chain instead.
