Hello, Your system currently has 64GB of RAM in a Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB setup. You're thinking about increasing it to 128GB, which would require more memory modules. I'll check if the motherboard supports that configuration and whether adding two new sticks is feasible.

It supports up to 128GB RAM (four 32GB units).
It works fine.

Asus website mentions capability, but it's advisable to verify the board's QVL list on their site, as stability might be a concern with certain configurations. Updated on October 29, 2022 by An0maly_76

If it isn't included, it doesn't guarantee it won't function, though instability remains a possibility. A few years back I installed 32GB of Ballistix on an MSI board without any prior experience with QVL. Other upgrades were also being added, but the board wouldn't start with the new GPU and worked properly with the older one. It would crash and needed a return to service after multiple attempts, eventually requiring an RMA. Since I returned it, it has behaved erratically and hasn't been reliable. I hadn't considered RAM as a potential issue, but I found out the DIMMs aren't synchronized and should never operate correctly. Many people criticize MSI, but I initially blamed the hardware, only to realize it might be more about configuration than the board itself. The RAM model isn't compatible with QVL on this system, and the board didn't support a 32GB setup from Crucial. In short, operating without QVL isn't without risk.

Mobo supports 128 Gb with four slots, two of which are currently unused. Asus hasn't tested the 4 x 32 Gb configuration, but they did test with 64 Gb, which is helpful to know. I believe it’s reasonable since it functioned with two 32 Gb drives, suggesting it can handle four 32 Gb units. Initially, I thought the QLV was crucial, but it appears that some models not listed have worked well for many users (as I discovered online). Thanks everyone!

First two counts need correction. QVL is quite significant, though some individuals still get lucky without verification. Based on what I've observed, I won't install another RAM kit unless it's QVL'd, with a couple exceptions—like a lower-density option (2x8 vs 2x16) or similar speed, or just checking part numbers if you're familiar with them.

Planning to purchase identical sticks CL16 at 3000 Mhz, I’m sure it’ll work fine. Hope it goes smoothly! If not, I’ll consider selling it. It seems unlikely the Asus TUF x570 reaches 128 Gb with these Corsair Vengeance LPX, but I’ll share more details once I have them (good luck!)

It was odd that the Patriot Viper 4 Blackout DDR4-3200 resolved my problems, matching the Crucial Ballistix setup that made it behave like a junkie in detox. Even stranger was the fact it needed manual timings and wouldn't POST at 3200; I had to lower the speed to 2400. As I mentioned, Ryzens and their supporting boards are quite unpredictable with RAM.
