Yes, the B550-f's 14-phase VRM can support overclocking a Ryzen 9 5900X. You won’t need to push it all the way to 4.8 GHz; a 4.2 GHz setting should work well for your rendering tasks.

It would definitely help to synchronize all core clocks—meaning one clock and one voltage. Beyond that, the connector can only supply a specific power level to the CPU, which makes it unclear how this would function.
