The Asrock H310Cm supports 9th generation CPUs right out of the box, but you may need a BIOS update for optimal performance.

It could require a BIOS upgrade, or it might not. In short, firms such as AsRock release BIOS updates for the boards they produce, then distribute them to stores. However, if a retailer carries an outdated board, they may lack the latest patches. Today I assume all 300-series models in shops should be current, though I can't guarantee it completely.
