They don't have the cheaper KF model either, which is what I'm after. Instead, I'd prefer to buy a 10600KF locally at Canada Computers and save over $70, using the funds for a better motherboard.

Newegg lists the 10600k for $400 CAD, plus tax and shipping around $470 CAD—probably because it only ships from the US. That’s quite a bit. CC and ME note the 10600K at $340 and KF at $400, but I’m not sure they’ve ever been available. It’s interesting since the AMD Rizen XT models are in stock there and were just released a few days ago.
it's between the 10600k and 3700x atm, whatever falls within your budget. I would agree with the buy amd meme if not for the 10600k, it's just so much faster with the right ram. Can also wait for zen 3, the 3600 will legit be worse than a console cpu in 3 months. When the 10600k was released it was 270usd, i was like...wait...then of course since then prices have gone up.
