You attempted to partition the disc but received a null error with code (udisk-error-quark,0). This suggests a problem during the partitioning process.

Error continues to repeat after first reset: waiting too long for data (udisks-error-quark,0)

I attempted to clean the USB device and reinstall it. Something seems wrong. Would switching to a different Linux distribution help? Are there similar problems? Is the storage drive functioning properly?

I completed the task and confirmed it worked. It ran Windows two days ago with no problems.

Considered a somewhat unconventional approach but should either succeed or indicate the drive is faulty. Steps include booting from a Windows installer, using Shift+F10, entering diskpart, selecting disk 0, running clean, exiting, shutting down, and then attempting to reinstall Mint.

If you can start from the Linux Mint live USB, it’s worth examining the partitions on the hard drive you’re installing on using a tool such as gParted. Verify whether the system recognizes the drive at all. You should notice at least two drives from the live USB—the USB itself and the internal one.

I understand the USB and the main storage. Realizing I can split the internal drive is great, but when trying to set up Mint or Puppy (I haven’t tried any other distros) it says there’s no partition available. Since the internal drive shouldn’t be damaged, I thought it was fine because I used Windows there only a few days ago.

Checked the standalone ISO for GParted and reviewed the drive details. The issue likely stems from an outdated FS Manager version, but GParted can still help set up the drive properly for Mint.
