Hello. I have an outdated Ubuntu 16.04 setup on a z400 workstation. The quadro 4000 won't show the GUI after trying to install nvidia proprietary drivers, which didn’t solve the problem and now causes a login loop. I’ve tested many fixes but none worked. I’m attempting a clean reinstall while preserving my home folder, as copying it would be too resource-intensive. Any suggestions? Thanks.
