I want to start by saying this is my first time working with upgrades. Making my previous PC ten years ago was enjoyable and straightforward, so I decided to give it another try. Still, this is the only other build I’ve made.

Details:
CPU cooler
be quiet! Dark Rock PRO
Motherboard
GIGABYTE Z790 UD AX Bundkort - Intel Z790
RAM
Corsair Vengeance DDR5-5600 BK C36 DC - 32GB
HDD
Seagate BarraCuda 3.5" ST4000DM004 Harddisk - 4 TB
SSD
Samsung 980 PRO Heatsink SSD PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 - 2GB
Case
be quiet! Dark Base 900
CPU
Intel Core i5-13600K Raptor Lake
GPU
PowerColor Radeon RX 6800 XT Red Dragon - 16GB GDD
Case
be quiet! System Power 850W

I have attempted:
- Checking the forum for advice on this problem
- Changing cables and outlets (making sure PSU is in position "I")
- Tightening and re-securing power cables for all parts
- Confirming CPU fan connection
- Assembling the PC outside the case onto a cardboard box
- Connecting power switches directly (and double-checking front panel connectors)
- Resetting CMOS
- Swapping RAM from A2-B2 to A1-B1 and testing single and zero sticks only
- Replacing the power supply with that of my old system – it now boots fine

Still, there’s no sign of life. No beeps or lights anywhere. Occasionally, when I press the power button on the case, a faint click from the PSU is heard, but that’s all.

It looks more likely the issue isn’t with faulty parts, but with my own setup. Given my limited experience and resources, what advice would you give? Should I consider replacing the motherboard or RAM and testing them, or should I seek professional help?

Thank you for your support.

The i5-13600k includes built-in graphics, so eliminate the RX6800XT, connect your monitor via the motherboard's HDMI or Display port, and check if it starts up. Also, take out the Seagate HDD.

Hi there,
Thanks for your message.
I attempted to disconnect both the HDD and GPU, but neither display nor the motherboard showed any activity.
A small note: the post includes images, and the GPU model is confirmed as 6950 XT.
