You're considering purchasing this Zotac ZBox Pi320 with 10-20 slots for hosting a CSGO server. You plan to run a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor at 1.83 GHz and 2 GB RAM, aiming to install Linux to minimize overhead. The system is budget-friendly and energy-efficient, with gigabit connectivity. Bandwidth requirements are manageable. Let me know if you need further details!
This response isn't very helpful. Could you please clarify your request?
@ QueenDemetria @ manikyath @ thekeemo Thanks for the reply. What is the lowest wattage core that will run a 10 slot 128 tick cs go server? Keep in mind that 1 thread is game logic and 1 thread is not fully used for networking. Apparently you only need about a gigabyte of ram per server.
I ran thorough tests on Gmod servers, matching the performance level of CS:GO if you're aiming for maximum efficiency. - pentium - minimal motherboard features - 60/120GB SSD - platinum power supply. - passive CPU cooler with rear case fan directed as intake, blowing at low speed onto the CPU cooler. ADDITIONAL: included a stick of 4GB RAM.
It might support a 10-slot server in a Q3 engine game (assuming Linux is used)
