I've been searching online for a solution but haven't found anything. Recently, my main monitor (Viewsonic 27-inch, 1440p, 165Hz) started having problems where the mouse moves erratically instead of gliding smoothly. It only occurs when I switch to my second monitor (an older LG 70Hz, 24-inch). This glitch is frustrating, especially during competitive games, as it disrupts precise movements. The cursor jumps unexpectedly, making small actions difficult. Everyone suggests changing the battery, but it doesn't help much. My PC has a Ryzen 5 5700X, RX 6800, and 32GB of 3600MHz RAM. The issue happens sporadically, sometimes every hour, and resetting the PC temporarily fixes it. Updated December 3, 2023 by LeeTehBee (spelling note)

No, I haven't tested a different cable yet.

It's a simple issue but I'm not sure—I only have a DP cable, and I could test HDMI to check if it resolves the problem.

Consider testing with a different cable to rule out a faulty one. A damaged dp cable might lead to unexpected behavior.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I hope the suggestion helps, even if it didn’t resolve your mouse problem.
