@Agall Do you have any idea what the problem in the BIOS might be? After all, it booted perfectly well on that BIOS version with the EXPO-profile applied before I tried reseating it! It just seems strange that this suddenly happens after I reseat the RAM.

Well, it's not the first time I seen similar behavior. The way to make sure your ram is still working is to test it into another computer. While at it, you can also test another ram stick in your computer. There is a possibility that you fried a ram stick or a ram slot when reseating because of static discharge, dust or mechanical stress. The difficult part is finding what broke. Also, you can try making a bootable USB drive (Linux or Windows, doesn't really matter) and try booting the computer with the drive inserted in a USB 3 port. Sometimes, it helps by providing an UEFI partition for the BIOS to hook on. Hope that helps.

I don’t own a machine with DDR5 support. I haven’t tested any other DDR5 RAM yet, and I’ve tried both sticks in every slot without success. It’s possible the connections were damaged at once. I’ll attempt the bootable USB now.

Try to identify the issue first. If you have no choices left, clear out all parts from the case and restart it on an insulating surface such as cardboard. Occasionally, this helps reveal overlooked problems. Be mindful of static electricity.

The problem I faced with the Gigabyte B650 board failing to start eventually wasn’t due to a recent UEFI update. It was actually the system my dad uses for gaming that was shipped back to me for further investigation. The device would restart sometimes but then stop completely, appearing as if the UEFI had been corrupted. This issue persisted for a few weeks before resolving.
